Showing Child boards

The way i have my board now (and i think its the only way you can) the child boards work like this:

CATAGORY
     BOARD-child boards in description

I want the forum to show the child boards like the normal boards, how do i do that? (id actualy kind of like to make the parent board sort of a child catagory if possible)

CATAGORY
     BOARD
           CHILD BOARD (VISIBLE FROM THE INDEX)

How do i do this?
