Add button plugin ?

For my SMF forum, I nedd to add a button to link to our Discord community. Following the instructions on this page, it's done : https://wiki.simplemachines.org/smf/Buttons_-_How_do_I_add_buttons_to_SMF_2.0
But if there is an update, I guess my manual modifications will be lost.
Is there any plugin which could easily add a button, a link in the navigation bar ? I've searched, but not found...

as long a you use the package manager patch files, your changes will not be overwritten.

Such manual modification would not be lost during the update, so no worries.

If you still want to use the mod though you may want to try something like this:

Oh ! Thank you ! Ultimage menu is exactly what I need ! I could even open the link in another tab, which is perfect.
