BBC for IMG's in Quotes issue

...i'm certain it's because the user described image width and height when using the IMG button...

How can I strip the additional IMG information when a post is quoted?  when a user posts an image and describes the height and width, the image doesn't render if another user quotes the first one's post...

it instead renders as such:

[blockquote yada yada]

i can obviously manually remove the specifications, and then all is well... but... how do i stop it from happening?

and..... i control the size of images in posts via CSS.... there is a good chance the best means to attack this is to simply remove the capability to add those specifications via template?

thoughts?

Yes, ditching the bbc settings would sort it nicely. :D I don't know why it is happening though.
Dumb question: you didn't install one of those "hide quoted images and just give  a link" mods a while back, and forgot about it?

No sir, I have not.  I'm familiar with both the mod and the tips&tricks method, but don't want that feature.

It only happens when width and height is specified and only when a user adds it either by the drop down forms when choosing the img BBC, or manually... its a little strange for sure.

It's also happening here on this forum, just for the record.

Well, eliminating the option to add specifications in the BBC img form drop down has proven harder than I thought.    Where is it?  Its not the one in subs or subs.post.... so... where?

Thanks in advance!

well... for what it's worth, the html output is in a js file, if anyone else ever searches and finds this thread.  it's the output for the drop-menu that says "URL" followed by a form, then Width (Optional) followed by a form, and Height (Optional) also followed by a form...

the bbc tag can still be qualified with width and height, but, it will have to be typed in manually now instead of allowing the easy to fill form... and bbc_img's w/o height/width displays the image just fine in quoted posts.

Interesting - thanks for posting the fix.  Will certainly help someone in future I am sure.
