Automatic notifications for posts

Hello everybody,

some providers for example Xobor give the option of sending a PN to the user with an @ (without spaces) immediately before the nickname, stating that his attention is desired in the respective threat.
In other words, if I write @Rafael Neumann in a post, this person will automatically get a PM that you will be mentioned here. This is very practical if you want to specifically involve someone in a conversation or if a question is addressed directly to someone. Otherwise you have no guarantee that the person will look into the threat or post and notice that you want something from him.

I know that SMF is designed the other way around. Here you can set in your profile whether you will be notified of new posts.
But is there already a mod that can generate such notifications?
