Attachment Issues

I hope y'all don't get tired of me and tell me to go away!

After converting my YaBB based forum to SMF 1.1.14 my attachments are kinda screwed up.  When anybody tried to put an attachment in a post an error states that the attachment directory is full.

The original YaBB attachment directory contains 8388 files:

bmwrorg@a2ss44 [~/public_html/htdocs/yabb2.612files/yabbfiles/Attachments]# ls | wc -l
8388

The smf directory contains 404 files:

bmwrorg@a2ss44 [~/public_html/smf/attachments]# ls | wc -l
404

phpMyAdmin shows 11,026 rows in the attachments table. 

Attached is a screen shot of the attachments admin page which shows the size of the attachment directory at over 53 MB.

Do I need to wipe everything out and start over or is there a way to just re-import/convert just the attachments?  I mentioned this in a thread in the converting/yabb board but have not gotten any ideas.

I figured out where to increase the attachment directory size and that issue is resolved but I am still missing a ton of attachments.
