Hi,

I know it is very basic question but at the moment I am not able to find a solution. I wanted to embed a pdf file on my edu forum to provide educational stuff. My forum link is https://www.amps.edu.pk/forum/other-educational-stuff/

I tried to embed the HTML code, but it appears as it is, it is not embedding the books so that readers can read it from my page.

I also tried it with the [ code ] [ /code ] tag but didn't work. Kindly guide me on how to embed a pdf file on my forum so that readers can read it online.

as an admin, you can use the HTML BBC (not code BBC)

no one else can use it though - because it's a security risk.

Alternatively, you could ask someone to write a BBC mod for you -- or modify it into one of the other embed media mods like SAVE

Admins only can use the  tags I believe.

Can you please guide how to use that? I tried from the admin account as well, but the HTML code is appearing as it is... Actually it is iFrame from scribed. I am pasting the code here in [ code ] tag

<iframe class="scribd_iframe_embed" title="FSc 1st Year Smart Syllabus Punjab Boards" src="https://www.scribd.com/embeds/485187199/content?start_page=1&view_mode=scroll&access_key=key-8O0jjzB6LQVhQ8pHEB77" data-auto-height="true" data-aspect-ratio="0.754180602006689" scrolling="no" width="100%" height="600" frameborder="0"></iframe><p  style="   margin: 12px auto 6px auto;   font-family: Helvetica,Arial,Sans-serif;   font-style: normal;   font-variant: normal;   font-weight: normal;   font-size: 14px;   line-height: normal;   font-size-adjust: none;   font-stretch: normal;   -x-system-font: none;   display: block;"   ><a title="View FSc 1st Year Smart Syllabus Punjab Boards on Scribd" href="https://www.scribd.com/document/485187199/FSc-1st-Year-Smart-Syllabus-Punjab-Boards#from_embed"  style="text-decoration: underline;">FSc 1st Year Smart Syllabus...</a> by <a title="View Rashid Nawaz's profile on Scribd" href="https://www.scribd.com/user/532520424/Rashid-Nawaz#from_embed"  style="text-decoration: underline;">Rashid Nawaz</a></p>

Anything to do with this option? Highlighted in the attached image.

I believe your support crew are talking about the
...
tag pair.

You really truly do not want to share permissions to HTML -tags, please do look in to the other alternatives to embed PDFs.

Do note, I do not think that will embed using the scribd link...   that embeds using the direct PDF file.

maybe

maybe vbgamer could add it to this

This mod worked, but not for what I wanted. For this mode, the PDF file has to be on my own hosting account. I tried with Google Drive, but it doesn't work with the Google drive link.

But mainly, I wanted to use Scribd books. Obviously, I can't host hundreds of PDF books on my hosting. I had to share the Scribd book via their embed code feature.

that error just means that you would have to manually apply some portion of the code because something else has already changed the target in some way.

As for the ones I listed -   Yes, I am aware that they would not do Scribd.   As I said, they were suggestions for a mod which MIGHT be modified to add scribd support.   Ask the mod author.

or request your own mod.
