1.1.11 upgrade

My old tech has moved on so I'm not very sure about this.

There's a lot of problems with my current software.  It doesn't like the current version of SQL and the email function no longer works.

Is upgrading to the latest 1.1. version pretty easy?  Any problems I need to be aware of?

ideally you should upgrade to SMF 2.0.17 as SMF 1.1.* is already end of life.
