logged out of boards after clean reinstall of 2.0.17

Hello altogether,
after having had some database- and php-version-issues I had a "clean" install according to these instructions:

Now, when I log in as an admin, I can access the forum index as well as the backend. But when I try to access one of the boards I am logged out, a guest.
If I put the forum into maintenance mode I have access to the forum index/backend but get thrown out of the boards.
I have already installed tiny portal, bad behavior mod and pretty urls.

What am I doing wrong? Any ideas?

with the forum in maintenance mode it makes it hard for us to see much of anything, not sure right now we can tell you what may be wrong.

my guess....try uninstalling pretty urls and see if it still happens....
and/or in your .htaccess try adding this

the image you have in the top left block seems to have an incorrect URL on it. if you navigate to a board it breaks the image.

also seems some of your pages are loading http and some are loading http:/www. you need to pick one and stick to it. if you use both it can log you out when you navigate to another page.

which this only seems to happen with the boards not the menu options. so may be related to your URL rewriting.

Ah, yes, shadav, Illori, I think you both were right.

Stopping the pretty urls did it for me.

I will see if I can put them on again later. If not, accessible boards are prettier than urls...

try adding the mod security setting to your .htaccess, it might fix the pretty urls issue

but also yeah make sure to fix the issues Illori noticed about the urls as that could still be the main issue

no it would not, pretty URL's needs to be set to not use www, or the forum needs to be set to use www.

Yes, I deleted the www. from the "Pretty Urls Root" that the mod suggested.
Now all urls are just http://domain and all boards are accessible.
I may have to add some code to the htaccess later in order to rewrite incoming links. The board has a long history of unimaginable changes...
