I received a notification by my provider that the version of PHP that I am using is outdated
and that I shall update.

I did, I chose to update to PHP 7.2

But since then I get a heap of "CRITICAL" errors in my log, where it says everytime I want to post a reply:
Call to undefined function mysql_num_rows()

What must I do?

What's the exact version of SMF that you're using?

Note that is a mysql call, not a mysqli call.

Mysql calls were REMOVED in php 7.0+.

Your version of SMF, and all mods, must be brought to their current versions.

Are you using the glossary mod?

That was the cause in my case.   The fix for THAT is simple... change the mysql to mysqli

However, if you are using the glossary mod, there are about 10 other changes needed to bring the mod up-to-date and run on 7.4

No, I am not using the glossary mod.

I had just logged in and noticed I am still using PHP 5.6. I am still waiting for SMF 2.1 full to come out.

It's so powerful that on this post and even in the two PMs you sent me,you still answered my question very quickly and you're apologizing for the delay. You're the #1 support I've probably ever encountered man, so much respect for that. Thank you, and get better soon.

I'll keep this in my siggy for a while just to remind me that someone appreciated what I did while others didn't.
