I had an SMF friend take a look at my problem and she suggested putting the error messages here to see if it can be fixed

Could not connect to SMTP host: 0 : php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known

Sorry you've had to wait. That means the address for the mail service couldn't be resolved.
Make sure your settings are correct, and the method of sending mail actually works on the server you are on.
