I want to use the rss feed from my version f  smf as a "Lattest Posts" feed  one of myy oother websitees
Wheen I put the rss url Forum version: SMF 2.0.17  into a browserr, the browser tries too donload a file.
What is wrong?
I only help those that help themselves. I suppose I am a bit like GOD that way.

May be something. Vintage IE works, both FF & Vivaldi results in

The saae thing doees not happen i every browser.
Am using the feed to display llatest posts in a module on a joomla website but the   module displays error feed not foounnd

Using firefox. Displays OK in Gnome Browser on Ubuntu.

it's a firefox setting...

works fine in Chrome...   it aslo works fine if you tell firefox to open it rather than download it.

Still broken here, on FF (esr, latest) & Vivaldi (latest).

As Kindred noted above, you need to tell FF what to do.  Note that FF abandoned RSS functionality a while back, & now treats RSS .xml just like any other file - you can open it or download it.  If you want full RSS functionality, you need an add-on.

FF setting attached, where you tell it to open or save.
Address the process rather than the outcome.  Then, the outcome becomes more likely.   - Fripp

Both FF & Vivaldi works fine here for all rss, apart from .18 forums, have now seen the bug report. Thanks.
