What is the .cache_thumbs folder

Hi,

I just discovered a sub-folder of my Sources folder, called .cache_thumbs.  It has 422 files in it, totally 3GB.

The dates are odd - most are from 2014, some from 2018, just 1 from 2020 and 1 from 2021....

What is it?  Can I empty it out?

That's not part of default SMF?

I guess whats in there where are the file extensions   Maybe from an image gallery?
