Why install something elaborate if you then have to disable it?

Isn't that true of pretty much all the options in SMF though? Perhaps we should remove *all* the options and replace everything with mods so people only install what they need?

Or, perhaps, install a thing that has all the things you need, and maybe some you don't, and just turn off the things you don't?
