I started a new post on a building I have been working on at this thread.
Building post with pic

I can see the photos in all the posts but some members can not and some can?  I have no background in coding and have NOT changed anything. I did have an IT person who upgraded us to the current version of SMF about 6 months ago but have had no issues until now?  For some reason though during the upgrade we did lose Gallery Pro.

Can you see the pics?  If not, im open for any and all suggestions on this.

These are the two complaints I have received.

I have no pictures visible in the thread.
When I check other threads I can still see pictures in some but not in others. so it is not a site wide problem for me but it is hit and miss.
If I go to my own gallery I see where there are many pictures but none of them display.  In several of my own postings I can still see the pictures even though I can't see them in the gallery.
Kirk's recent pictures also only have place holders in his gallery but none display when I look.
Any ideas?  I really want to see the pictures of Kirk's storage build..

I do not see any of your building project photos.  When I look at your gallery there are only spots for photos with data blocks but no photo displayed.  Same is true ion my gallery.  Previous posts that I put photos in have photos visible.  Other folks posts have photos visible but othere are just like your recent thread and there are no photos just blank spots.
I am using firefox and in the process of trying chrome to see if the same thing happens

Indeed.
Perhaps you should ask the users what exactly are they seeing (or not seeing), any permission messages, any errors, etc.
That way you can track down the issue.

One member uploaded a photo and said it is just a blank spot where the photo is. No error message

They show fine for me too, in both the topic and the gallery.

Perhaps they are hitting your site with a secure url, they don't show for me if I do that.

They show up fine for me as well. Can you ask that user to send you a screenshot of how the images appear to him/her and post it here?

What about the error log? Is there any error logged in there pertaining to this?

This seems to be the answer, as I am having the same issue.

Headers and footers code you have http:// images need to change to https

Also make sure your gallery url under gallery settings is set to https

Turns out that was the primary problem.  That along with vbgamer45's input and a data base update on the Pro Gallery and it appears all is working properly now.

Thanks for the great advice!
