I have problem to upload mod's to my SMF 2.1.1 (and PHP 7.4)
This is the error-dialog-box coming up.

QuoteCould not upload package, please check directory permissions!

I changed /Packages to 777, but still not working.
No error in errorlog, only the dialogbox.

Do you have a folder called temp inside your packages folder? If you do, try to chmodd that too. If you do not, create it, chmodd it and see if that would help.

No "temp"-folder , but I created one and with 0777.
Still not working

Can you change the permissions to 755? Some hosts will not allow 777. Can you go to the Packages ->File Permissions and post a screenshot of that page?

Did you do any change or modification to your forum or server prior to this happening, or did it happen out of nowhere?

Do you mean the mod that you are trying to install? What is it called? Does this error happen with that mod only or with all mods btw? If it happens with all the mods, I think it is best that you contacted your host about this, as mentioned above by Kindred.

What about this:
