Delete Drafts Button

Is there some technical reason why there isn't a way to delete drafts from the drafts drop down from within the editor?  It seems silly to require one to go to your profile to delete a draft when that drop down is just itching for a delete button to the right.  I can only imagine there is a technical reason why that isn't there...
