Hi guys I'm new to smf and I'm looking to have a banner header that goes across the forum where the smf logo is from one side to the other.

I think you have to edit the index template.php but I'm not sure what code to use or where to put it, I have tried not to no success.

Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards Andy

You will either have to edit index.template.php and index.css...
Or
Find a theme that has the style you like to start with...

Thing is, it's not just a simple,  one line edit. The default theme has more than just the logo in the header

Which picture ?
Replaced the SMF logo with your picture.
In your configuration you can find the path to upload your picture.

Peter,
The smf logo only allocates less than 50% of the header. Riggs wants to have the banner cover the whole width.

Riggs, another idea is adding the global header & footer mod....

Then you must edit the banner with a graphic program.
I did it the same way, too

Thanks buddy I'll give that a bash. I'm looking to do something similar to the banner in this theme without links, I've also done the edit to remove the logo and smf one too.Forgot to mention I'm editing the default theme on the latest version 😊
