Sometimes Post Likes Aren't Been Sent

It's been brought to my attention by a couple of my members that when they've liked a post, it looks as if it's gone through, it says on the post they've liked it but when they've gone back to the post later, there is no like there.

So I did a bit of digging - I did a join between smf_user_alerts and smf_user_likes and there is over 100 alerts that have been sent for likes where there is no like for that post for that member. Yeah, I guess it's possible that somebody could have unliked the post straight after but given that a couple of people have said they haven't, it looks like sometimes, likes aren't been sent even though it looks like they are.
