Adding a new column at Recent posts at the bottom of the page

How can I add a new column at Recent posts at the bottom of the page right after the date column? I did look up the files and I think that I narrowed it down to BoardIndex.template.php file and function template_ic_block_recent but I am not sure how to add it. Can someone help me?
