Search “In this Topic” works for admin, not for members

Hi all

My users get zero results when they use the quick search restricted to "In This Topic".

I have search allowed for guests, all users

Search is set to Fulltext index, and the index is created. I have enabled Force the Use of a Search Index.

All users can search the "Entire Forum", and within "This Board". 

Admin can search within "This Topic" and get good results. 

The Problem: Other users get zero results when searched within "This Topic", despite using the same search words as Admin.

All boards and all topics are visible to all users and guest.

Why does search within "This Topic" work for admin but not other users?

Interesting.  Works correctly on 2.1.3 test install, but not in this topic on this forum.

Yea, it works for me here as well ... not quite sure why it's not working on your site yet.

Works fine for me here and on my 2.1.3 sites as a regular member too!

I can't reproduce this either. Have you installed any mods that add to the search system, or modified it?

That's odd, did same search last night ("zero"), returned no results, today it works.

Apart from Ad Management, no mods. I can log into my forum as an admin, and I get full results on search in "this topic". When I login as a regular member, I get no results on the same search terms, and same topic.

I originally had a  Custom Index, but deleted that when I upgraded to 2.1.3 and made a Fulltext index.

Search works great for entire forum, within a board but not within a topic for regular members.
