Keep first post at top of new posts

I have set the following option: "Show most recent posts at the top".  As newer posts are added the original post gets pushed down the list.  Is there any way to keep the first post at the top of the list in order to keep the intent of the topic in view.

No, you can order all posts top to bottom or bottom to top, but you can't have most recent at top with oldest post first.
