Social Media Embed Options

Hi there,

Are there plugins I could use to embed Twitter, Facebook and Telegram posts that would work for version 2.1.3? I tried some mods for prior versions but they did not work and caused issues to the forum.

No, custom fields would not work to embed social media posts within  a forum post...

Don't think anyone updated since the last api changes in the various platforms

I use addthis dot com on all my sites. Just add their code above </body> in the index.template.php. Works great!

I never understand why they don't just sell or let someone else take over.
I can't imagine it takes much resources at all to run... I keep old sites up from like 2004 doesn't really cost much of anything.

Forgive my naivety, but what does it take to update embed mods used in older SMF versions to the new version?

I am prepared to support it financially, if required.

Thank you for the info, but this is not to embed the social media stuff in posts, but to share out to social media, from what I understand.

I believe that all of the embed mods are currently broken in all versions

Not because of smf... but because the idiots at those social sites changed all the APIs
