Anybody else recently getting IPN errors as of a few weeks ago?

It's definitely enabled in Paypal but I get email notifications and when people subscribe, the forum isn't updating or anything anymore.

QuotePlease check your server that handles PayPal Instant Payment Notification (IPN) messages. Messages sent to the following URL(s) aren't being received:

https://www.avpgalaxy.net/forum/subscriptions.php

If you don't recognise this URL, you may be using a service provider that is using IPN on your behalf. Please contact your service provider with the above information.

Once you or your service provider fix this problem, you or your service provider can resend the failed messages from the IPN History page. If this problem continues, PayPal may disable the IPN feature for your account.

Been a while since I've had to play with subscription settings, but if memory serves IPN isn't actually needed.
I believe it also says that first thing in the related settings page on SMF.

How you can help SMF

IPN is needed, but it's not necessary to enable it in PayPal account.  Subscriptions-PayPal.php sends a notify_url to PP which overrides IPN setting.  It's not recommended to enable IPN because any payment to the PP account will post an IPN to subscriptions.php, and that will log an error if payment was not for subscription.

Is forum logging any errors?

Ok, just updated this from 2.0 to 2.1.4, haven't tested it but should work.

   subscriptions.2.1.4.ipn_log.php - will log error containing ipn for every ipn received.

   Subscriptions-PayPal.2.1.4.error_mod.php - does some additional error logging not in core.

Save the original subscriptions.php and Subscriptions-PayPal.php, upload and rename these files. do some test subscriptions, check error log.

That was a paypal email notification.

@Sir Osis of Liver

Thanks, I'll test it out.
