Hello

I've been looking around admin panel, to set default membergroup for newly registered users. So far, i couldn't find it, as the nearest one only in the 'Register new member' in Registration panel, which is admin can set Primary Membergroup for new member that been registered by admin.

So i'm look around mod, and found two default membergroup mod :

https://custom.simplemachines.org/index.php?mod=4271 and https://custom.simplemachines.org/index.php?mod=1804 , unfortunately could not install it.

The reason why i need this default membergroup function, is because in my forum which focus on books translation works, the newly registered user would, by-default, join the 'beginner'level that didn't need any post-count, that would provide them experience and culture of works (work flow of the forum, mentorship etc). And after sufficiently perform well, admin would 'upgrade' the user into post-count-based group, which the real task would be taken by them.

At the moment, i've been looking around these much-needed function but still no avail. or maybe i'm missed something in admin / registration panel?. I'm not sure

thank you

The default membergroup is "regular members". If you want to change this, you need a mod for it.
