I have a problem after I upgraded my forum, more precisely I have several problems

Well, you're saying it's the fault of Tidy Child Boards, which it isn't. I'm not even sure what issue you're trying to say is related to TCB for that matter.

Which Tidy Child Boards mod are you using? As per our rules, all third party mods and/or themes support questions should be asked on their appropriate suupport topics/forums.

TDB is a 2.0 mod, will not install in 2.1, and, sadly , is no longer supported by author.  If you've found a bootleg version for 2.1, you'd have to get support from that author.

Thing is, the author originally wrote it in an afternoon 15 years ago. He rewrote it to be cleaner about 8 years ago.

He's tired of having to deal with something that he thought should have been core years ago.

It can be done with css, but don't know if anyone's posted the code for 2.1.

That would require looking at the board index, something I only ever do by accident. But we're getting off topic.

Ant has certainly posted code for it at least twice by now.

On the local host, I used the mod from Arantor and from this link.

The original package should work fine on 2.0, not 2.1.

You can try https://github.com/realdigger/SMF-Tidy-Child-Boards-2 in case that works, there's a chance it will, I didn't personally like the way 2.1 stuff was done so I never merged it into my original (which btw is on GitHub)

The reason it's "not on the store" is because of requests like this - I wrote the original in 2009, I don't particularly want to deal with the hassle of requests for things 15 years later, and I got just as burned by the mods I did hand over to people.

So there are two problems. If it is possible to fix the child board, I would be grateful, because I used that mod on the local host and it works perfectly well.

I had 2.0.19 and installed the tcb mod, but now that I've upgraded, it doesn't work on 2.1.4, while it works on localhost

If you installed the github version and if it works correctly in the default theme ---   then the problem is with your custom theme, not the mod.

and something that worked on 2.0.x - especially something that affected the display - will probably not work on 2.1.x unless it was designed to work on both.

So -- to be clear.
1- you have 2.1.4 installed
2- you installed the SMF-Tidy-Child-Boards-2 from the realdigger account on github
3- the TCB2 works correctly on the default theme and does not break quick edit

if 1,2,3 are correct -- then the problem is within your custom theme (because the TCB2 mod should not affect quick edit in any way, shape, or form)
additionally, none of us can reproduce your problem.  When we install the TCB2 mod, it works as intended

On the demo forum, TCB works for me, but on the real di, where I have 25k people, it doesn't work.

I had before version 2..0.19 It worked TCB
Now I have 2.1.4 installed & mod from Github but it doesn't work...

I successfully installed the mod, I got access to the TCB settings, but it doesn't show on the index,

It shows only a few tcb to members who do not have a special rank, while 90% are without TCB on website,

The same thing happens to me, it installs correctly, all the options appear, but even though I activate them they do nothing, it doesn't work

Antechinus posted css here for 2.0, don't know if it will work in 2.1.  The github mod should work in Curve2, it does for me.  Can you upgrade php to 8.x?

I use 7.4 when changed to 8.0 the forum does not work

In my case, which I already posted above as well, I'm after this mod, I use the default theme curve, php 8.0 and version 2.1.4 and it doesn't work for me.

Php 7.4 went eol over a year ago.  Currently supported versions are 8.1, 8.2, 8.3.

we did not create the mod, so we really cannot support it. you should post on their github and ask the author for help.
