Christmas Gold
A Christmas theme I developed in the old YABBse format, and have just updated for SMF 1.0.5

I have altered what the info boxes do.  We display on our forum the userinfo box, but also a calendar info box, IF there is a holiday in the database. The normal layout is only commented out, so could easily be put back in

Christmas Gold Snow
the screen shot images include the Christmas theme, with falling snowflakes.

Demo: http://www.ageofthering.com/forum/index.php?theme=7

I run these themes side by side on the forum, so that members can choose to have the snowflakes or not... basically because the falling flakes use up lots of processing power!

The Christmas Gold Snow relies upon the images from the Christmas Gold theme.  So if you just wanted to run snow, you will have to copy the image directories over from the Christmas Gold theme.

The only thing php can't do is tell you how much milk is left in the fridge.

ok you almost have it....the images not showing up now are the new posts and no new post images on the front page, and then in the message window you have 2 red x's on the end of the bar and mark as unread not showing..and then theres the mysql and php logos not working either..shown with x's i tried fixing it myself but cant.  :-[

also notice you had some images linked to your site

martinms2d

um can you tell me how to fix this?

this x shows up on both sides

Is there ment to be a big gap at the top

yes!  I prefer it that way :D

you can change it by taking out a table line in the index.template.php

hmmmm.... wierd..... (re lcorner thing)  I never even coded that in... dont know how it got there!

try taking the display.template.php from the zip file ive just uploaded.....

Isnt it just the way, that you only find out what doesnt work, when others try it out ::)

lol

Hi EG,

Just to let you know, using Firefox 1.0.7 I am not getting any snow on demo http://www.ageofthering.com/forum/index.php?theme=7

Two flakes remain static in the top left corner of the screen but no movement.

yeah.  I beleive thats a problem with firefox and the javascript used to make the snowflakes move.  Last year we were discussing that here on this forum.  Im not sure it can be got around :-\
