Hi, everyone. I foolishly installed two mods, which has completely crashed my forum. I'm not very tech savvy, and I think I've broken my forum.  :( I now realize both mods were incompatible with my forum's SMF software which was 2.0.9. I have attached mods files i installed below. I assume that might have done it. I also didn't do a backup before I installed them either. Is there anyway to fix this?

I would greatly appreciate any help!

Website URL removed at OP's request.

I would also be willing to PM someone my cPanel/ftp login if someone could be kind enough to take a look at it. I really wouldn't know what to look for .

I'm not sure if this helps but when i go into my /public_html/Sources/Subs.php folder, I can see the mod that i installed which is likely responsible for the crash. If i delete it, would it resolve the problem, or could it make the problem worse?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for replying. I read that and I found I do have a backup in the Packages folder. However, when it says to ''Upload the files and directories from this file to your forum to overwrite what is there now.'' Where exactly do I upload the file to? do I upload it to FileManager, If so, whereabout in FIleManager?

Thanks in advance!

You have to upload the unzipped backups to forum root (where Settings.php is).  You must upload them in reverse order they were installed, i.e., last first.  You should always backup your files and database before installing a mod.

When in Emor, do as the Snamors.

The link above says to extract the files and then upload them to your forum root.

These are the extracted files I got from the Package backup. Do I simply just upload them to the forum root and overwrite the corrupted files? Does the order I go in matter?

Thank you very much for helping me out. I'm a bit technically challenged these days. :-[

Yes, simply upload them to the root of your forum folder and select the overwrite option. The order is not important.

There should also be a Sources folder and a Themes folder to upload too...

Thank you very much! that was easier than I thought. I uploaded the files and my site and back to normal now.
