Attachments with spam posts

Like all forums, we too get our share of spammers and spam posts. For whatever reasons, most of them originate from Russia or Ukraine. Many times, the spam posts carry a "gif" image as an attachment at the bottom. Of course, I delete the image and remove the posts to a Trash board. What is the logic of the gif attachment which is most times not related to the post at all, like an avatar or anime character ?

Who knows...  but if you are getting spammers registering, then you need to step up your game.   I have not had a spambot successfully register in years.
