Can't find setting that alerts global moderators of a new registrant

I'm just drawing a blank here. 
I have a global moderator for which I'd like to turn that off.

I believe it's tied to the permissions, if you can accept a new user, you get notified.

If I remember correctly you can turn off the notifications completely though, but I'm guessing that's not what you wanted.

ok, it's implied then.  Thanks.

if you have it set in the admin panel to send out the notification/email, it goes to anyone that can approve it. it is not a permission per group for this notification/email.

ok, where is the setting to allow global moderator on 2.0 to approve someone? 

Might not change that, but I'd like to find it.
