Mod question — is there a current "Listserv" mod ??

Mod question — is there a current "Listserv" mod — allowing email notification and posts via email — so that people can interact with a board/forum entirely via email, as if it were a listserv email group?

I see that there was an attempt at one (SMF Mailing List Mod), but it has no ratings, and was last developed in 2010.

No, there isn't, and there hasn't been a request for one since then either.

There isn't even current reply-via-email support - I know the ElkArte guys were fond of that but it turns out to be somewhat impractical on the average server to be worth the hassle.
