Hi, we have had a SMF 2.1.3 forum on names.co.uk [nofollow] web space for a number of years but are finding it prohibitive and would like to move it away. I am told that IONOS does support PHP but I don't want to commit & burn my bridges if it is known not to work on their platform and there doesn't seem to be any info I can find anywhere.

Help please?

You will have to ask them what php and mysql versions they support. Regarding Smf 2.1  you can see the requirements here:

Just to add should be possible I see a couple topics on the forum on on ionos users, now best provider is going to depend on how large your forum.
I would suggest not use the built in smf installer from ionos but grab the install package here

Have been running a forum with IONOS hosting for several years now. No issues and proper PHP support.
