And? How is this relevant to the situation right now? You keep bringing up new things, without explaining or answering questions - This really truly makes it nigh impossible to help you.

What I believe is actually wrong, but I may be mistaken because I have no idea what you have actually done:

Your site SHOULD be using https://www.siapamoyanganda.com but your site is using a whole mix of different combinations, and loading resources from http://siapamoyanganda.com, and this combination is not allowed so things don't work. IF this is the only issue, then repair_settings.php can help you fix paths and urls, and you can do a redirect on the server to make sure everyone finds the correct working address.

But if you really did manage to break things by attempting an upgrade, this should not have happened as a result, and we can't know what happened unless you tell us what you did.

Hint: If you access your forum using http://www.siapamoyanganda.com/family-forum/index.php everything looks good, but as soon as you click a link you get redirected to http://siapamoyanganda.com/family-forumindex.php and see a 404 - So you have misconfigured something somewhere. It's not a functional address.

Sorry Alexis, I do not know how, but I missed uploading SMF 2.1.0 before uploading SMF2.0.11

waris

Alexis, I just discovered that there is another update that I did not see at that time I did not upgrade to SMF2.1.0 first I just upgraded to SMF2.1.1 straight. That is where I made the mistake. Can it be reversed?

Aleksi "Lex" Kilpinen

Judging by the footer in your forum, that is not the issue. It is saying you are still on 2.0.19. Again, what exactly did you do?

And you don't have to upgrade by version...

Going from 2.0.x to 2.1.x can not be done by patch.  So, since you MUST use the large upgrade, you can go direct to 2.1.4

I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but you are kind of wasting everyone's time who is trying to help you, by being vague and not answering the questions that you are asked.

Right....

So @waris here's the deal.

Several staff members have offered suggestions and asked questions.
You have refused to answer ANY of our questions or even given us feedback on the suggestions - instead posting comments that make very little sense and partial answers to questions that no one asked.

I think that we are done playing the game of 20 questions.
Until you can give a COHERENT and FULL set of answers, you will not receive any more assistance.

1- EXACTLY what steps did you take when you tried to upgrade from 2.0.19 to 2.1.4?
2- Have you uploaded and run repair_settings.php and configured your forum to use THE SAME URLS throughout? (Per Lex's comments above)

Choose a URL that you want your existing 2.0.19 forum to use.

Just a question!
What browser did you use to install as once i tried to use Firefox and it went so wrong, I personally would say try to upgrade again using the Microsoft edge browser and see how it goes as you should be able to go from 2.0.19 straight to 2.1.4 just like we did without any problems.

Remember to use the upgrade version on this forum in downloads and not the full install just food for thought.

Sorry, but that's completely silly.
The upgrade is not browser dependent.  I use FF as my primary browser and have never had any issues upgrading.... I have also tested on chrome and edge with the exact she results.

waris

Well, something is messing with your forum's url settings. Did you check repair_settings.php?

The 404 is because any link you click, will point to an address that doesn't actually exist.

What is repair_settings.php?

The best way to fix this if you don`t understand the questions above is to contact your host and tell them to reverse your forum back to the date before you upgraded.

That`s one way and the simplest way to fix your problem if you are having major problem following Aleksi "Lex" Kilpinen detailed instructions.

Hope this helps in anyway!

Just seen this so i think your on your own server maybe oh dear still you should be able to reverse your site back to when you didn`t upgrade surely.

at the bottom of your site is this just seen it

Better hosts include 30 day account backups in hosting package, they can be restored via control panel.  Many hosts do not, some offer paid backup service, which is often unreliable, and some will restore a forum from server backups for a fee.  In any case it's not a sure thing.
