Problem in tab

Quote and quick edit do not appear in editor, only in preview.   It's a fairly old Samsung tab using Android FF, no idea which versions, or how to find them.  It's my e-reader, but do look at forums with it.

It's a Galaxy Tab A6, Android 5.1.1, bought it in Aug 2019.  No idea if Android has auto-updated.  AFAIK nothing like that's been reported here.  Will have another look tonight.

An update on the tab side of things is sort of unlikely, since Lollipop hasn't had updates since summer 2024, and never will again.
And at that point Lollipop was already 10 years old..

Oh well, works fine as Kindle and Nook reader, that's what I bought it for.  Only occasionally post from the tab, probably just as well if I don't.

I have two iPads; one is just several years old and everything works regarding viewing, interacting with, posting, and quoting on this forum, etc.

My ancient iPad however (older than a decade I believe) has several issues. When I quote a post, the quote does not appear in the editor window.

When marking all topics as read, they are marked read immediately, without asking confirmation.

I cannot access "Look and Layout". There are probably other issues that I have not discovered yet.

Oh yeah now I remember, when I click on my user name (upper left corner next to Messages) it goes directly to my member profile. No drop down list for Account Settings, Profile Details, Look and Layout, etc.

All of these issues only on this forum!
On my forum (I'm not the admin there btw), everything works as it does on my desktop, on both older tablets. That forum runs on SMF 2.1.4 c 2023 as stated in the footer.

This forum appears not to be running on exactly that version, but 2.1.4 c 2024 judging by the footer here.

At one point I could swear that 2.1.5 was listed in the footer here?? I figure this forum might be running a beta version?
By the way.... Since when has a tablet been referred to as a tab?

A tab to me, means something different, well two completely different things.   

1. A browser window uses tabs for instance.

2. Some folks use tabs (0x09) rather than spaces (0x20) in coding for another, for alignment/formatting purposes.

It's a Tab A6.  Forgot to look last night, won't be reading again until tomorrow night.  From what I remember, quote and quick edit do not load into textarea, it's blank, but are displayed in preview.  I guess for development purposes would depend on how much backward compatibility you want to have.

Imagine my thoughts when reading the title "problem with Tab" ..... "I didn't know SMF natively supported browsing with tabs, what could that mean? Two or more topics opened at the same time?"

I'm using Tab S6 and I can see them fine using Android 12

Yes, I can see them too, but if you read this topic the problem is with quotes and quick edits not loading into editor.
