SMF: 2.0.19

If I create a mod, do I ALWAYS have to add the following first so that the resource can't be accessed from the browser? Another question is, do I also have to add that code to the template, or just to the resource?

if (!defined('SMF'))
    die('Hacking attempt...');

Sesquipedalian

Whether it is necessary or not depends on the content of the rest of the file. But it never hurts to include it. So unless you know for certain that you don't need it in your file, you should add it in.
I promise you nothing.

Sesqu... Sesqui... what?
Sesquipedalian, the best word in the English language.
