forum password

I had to change the MySQL user password because of connection errors to other pages on my website, not the forum, which I managed to do via cPanel.

now I can't load the forum, I get the following error...
Connection Problems

Sorry, SMF was unable to connect to the database. This may be caused by the server being busy. Please try again later.


I'm assuming that the password for the forum database is contained with a smf_??? table? is that true, if so what table?

if this is incorrect how can I change the "forum password" so that it connects to the database?

I found the password in the settings.php file
