"Board you specified does not exist"-error

I keep getting this error both with SMF 1.1 rc and 1.0.5 when posting or modifying a topic.  I'm running on a plesk server.  Clean install without problems but no functionality when installed.  Has SMF ever been tested on such a server configuration?  My host's php and msql-version are compliant with minimum system requirements and so are the php.ini settings.
