Third-Party SMF Registration Script

Hello all,
I suppose something like this has come up before, but since the forum search function has been disabled, I wasn't able to get any info on this. I also hope this is the right forum to post this.

I'm trying to create a registration script that will automatically register users on an SMF installation. I've got as far as inserting the correct user info (username, password, email, regdate, etc...) into the members table of the database. After a bit of going through the code, I discovered a particular function, updatestats. I haven't been able to find the source file containing the definition for this function.

What I basically want to do now is update the statistics for the latest member once the user registers.

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Include SSI.php on your page and just copy the code from the actual registration page on SMF.
