I've just installed the new SMF forum and although things seem to be working well when I check out the error log it's getting filled with the following;


2: (null)() [<a href='http://www.php.net/ref.outcontrol'>ref.outcontrol</a>]: output handler 'ob_gzhandler' cannot be used twice

Run this query in phpMyAdmin:

DELETE FROM smf_settings WHERE variable='enableCompressedOutput';

It appears that your host already has gzip compression enabled, and the functionality within SMF that's supposed to automatically disable output compression in such situations isn't working for whatever reason.

Terrific !! That did it. Thanks ! One other problem I'm having is that I've checked the option to allow people to upload their own avatars but it's not working for anyone. Any suggestions ?
