Hello

I have moved my smf forum to a new server ... VPS ( I wasbefore on a shared plan )...
The pages load very fast but sometimes the pages ( can be the same page ) load slow...
I have checked all optimization.

I don't understand one thing : ( I am frenchtalking )

Have MySQL's settings been tweaked to optimize memory usage and general efficiency?
What does that mean ?

Here's my http://www.beneluxnaturephoto.net/forumf/status.php

Thanks

Nicolas

Hi,

The whole site is failing to respond at the moment.

My guess would be a server configuration issue.

I am doing now a database optimization .. ( this is causing my forum inaccessible )
The database is around 90 MB and it take hours and hours ... Is that normal ?

90.000 messages, 1100 members , around 30 online

On my shared plan, it was faster ... ( around 2 minutes )

The speed of optimization varies depending on how often you optimize your forum.

Hi Nicolas,

A forum of that size shoudl optimize in less than 10 seconds.

I'm glad to see you have it sorted now.

Although you have fixed the problem upgrading your MySQL server version for MySQL 3.23.x to a newer version would help.

If you want to get Plesk working again maybe you should try posting on the SWsoft forums.

Post a new message or try something more advanced than this query
