SMF 1.1rc2: All utf-8 is truncated upon posting

Please help me.

I just upgrade my forum to RC2 but It can fix some utf-8 character display. Moreover, it truncates all my utf-8 characters appeared in each post.

My initial call for help below will provide with more details:

All of my data is stored in utf-8 table. I have changed the table property from latin1 to utf-8 to make it compatible with my utf-8 data. I also add @mysql_query("SET NAMES UTF8") to make the database connection compatible with utf-8 characters but with it, all posts will be truncated unless I post an English entry. Without it, it works. Nothing will be truncated but my old utf-8 data will be displayed incorrectly.
