ipb 2 to SMF

I don't have a clue as to how to use this converter could someone fill me in.

put the conversion script and the appropriate sql file in the same directory. then bring up the url that will execute the conversion script.

PS: this is for SMF 1.1. i believe that 1.0 had seperate scripts for the different forum software packages.

where might i find the sql file lol i have no clue really.

are you trying to convert to 1.0 or the 1.1 RC family?

k i did the 1.1 r converter but it didn't work 2 well... the posts didn't convert anyone know why? the ipb board is version 2.0.1.... does the convert not work for that?

i ran into the same problem with the phpBB converters for 1.1. i had to go back and convert to 1.0 and then update from 1.0 to 1.1. pain in the ass, but that worked.

PS: submit your problems to the converters thread so that they know there are problems.

Do you have SMF 1.1 installed?
