Integrating into my site design???

The way that I have designed my site is this...
A typical page is consisted of this:

----------
call and insert header.php (which includes logo / site navigation / content background)
<td width=[insert width]>      <----- last part of header, opening td of header
----------

code for content is here in <td> of header and footer of page.

----------
</td>      <----- first part of footer, closing td of header
call and insert footer.php (bottom of background / copywrite messages etc.)
----------

The content sits inbetween the header and footer in a table data / table cell

I'd like to if possible, use the existing header and footers, calling them in with PHP include code...

How do I go about doing this???

I tried copying the default theme, and changing the files, to include the headers and footers, but no success.

My site is hxxp:www.getyouhosting.com [nonactive] and my installation of the forum is hxxp:www.getyouhosting.com/forums [nonactive]
I have converted from using Invision Power Board 1.1.2 into a clean installation of SMF.

ps. my site is live

No disrespect or anything, but the front page doesn't even validate  :-\
and whilst I know it's not essential, it might be a good place to start.

All that needs doing now, is changing the blue images to be something more in the colour scheme of my site.

Try to contact Babylonking - he may provide reddish buttons , perhaps for a fee.

The site feels really good now, the forum and design is to-the-point and smooth looking. :)

I just took the default buttons into Macromedia Fireworks, selected the appropriate part on the first, and all on the second and changed the colour balance by 140 to the right.

They look good... I could do probaby do that in PaintShopPro, if I tried. I'm changing over my client management software at the moment,so that has the prioritory at the moment.

You want me to do the rest then?

Edit: eh, took me 20 minutes:

Just unzip it in the default theme's images folder.
