Bit stuck...

Right I'm trying to get the latest post of a member and I have tried just file_get_contents then "eregi"ing it from the source but that failed, I then thought I would use the SSI.php but the SQL queries in that are just o.o

How would I go around getting the latest post of a user? This will be placed on a website not an SMF forum. Is there already a script out to to do this?
