Additional indication of new posts/replies on a board...

Right now, when there are new posts on a board, it is indicated by the image in front of the board name, right ? (on.gif & off.gif)

How would it be possible to also have the board names color change ? For example, if there are no new posts in a board, the board name is grey. And if there are new posts, the board name is in green. I imagine this would be made with css. If there are new posts, it uses one style on the board name. And if there are no new posts, it uses another style.

I'm working on a template where this type of indication would fit very well.
