Get back erased user?

I erased a very important user by mistake.. Now he has 1700 posts but he is erased. How can I fix this?

When a user is deleted they are that, deleted. They get removed from the database and don't exists anywhere.

One option would be to restore your database from a backup, but you will lose all posts and new members you have got sinse the backup was made.

Why?  That's so much more complicated.

tansu, there's a much easier way to restore a deleted user.  Try searching.

thanks people. I could not find by searching but  @huwnet's link is the answer.  Thanks a lot. You saved me from a big big problem.  Deleted user has the greatest rank in my forum. Loosing him was a big trouble for us.. Thanks to all.
