Differing FTP and HTTP paths

I looked around but did not see if this was asked or addressed anywhere.  I was able to successfully install my new forum (YAY! \o/) by making my forum path match the FTP path of /html/forum.  However, when the forum is accessed through HTTP in web browsers, the /html folder is not supposed to be part of the path.  I need to know in what files the installation places that path besides the Settings.php file so I can go in and remove the /html folder from those paths.  Until I can accomplish that, the forum code is not looking very pretty.

Can anyone help me out with this?

Thanks muchly!  8)

UPDATE: I was able to go into the admin area to the Forum Configuration and adjusted a couple of the URLs in the variable text boxes for Themes and Smileys, and it looks to be working better.  Still, there may be some things I am missing.  Anyway... thanks if you have been pondering this with me.
