@thinker: Look for duplicated code in your Theme directory in
index.template.php
boradIndex.template.php
Display.template.php
MessageIndex.template.php

maybe code about this:

    //Display ads on the top of the page
    if (function_exists("show_topofpageAds"))
    {
        $ads = show_topofpageAds();
        if(!empty($ads))
            if($ads['type']==0)
                echo $ads['content'];
            else
                eval($ads['content']);
        unset($ads);
    }

are duplicated.

thinker

these codes are duplicated all over the index.template. I tried uninstalling the ad mod and reinstall but no change. It appears to be a bug in the program, rather than myself modifying this mod upside down, is it possible that Jerm please issue a bug fix for it?
Thanks.

Uninstall and remove the code above manually! Than re-install the package.

thinker

I tried that, didn't work

I have the same problem like thinker.....after I had removed the dublicated codes the banners now appear correct on the website but in the  "Edit Ad section"  I still have dublicated ads. Is there another file with dublicated codes?

Bigguy

Check your index.php file in the ROOT of your SMF install and remove the duplicate code from there.

dailytalk

@Bigguy, thank you very much. Your tip solved my problem. In the Index.php there was the following code twice:

// Load all the ads up
   if (function_exists("loadAds"))
      loadAds();

After I had removed one, the problem was solved.

tpruessner

Hi, I have searched this topic a few times to try to find an answer to my question, but I can't seem to find it.

I can't find the place to enable the permission to view my ads.  I have looked and looked through "permissions by membergroup" and I can't find it anywhere.  I am not sure what the problem is.  It isn't anywhere to be found.

I am running Ad Manage Mod 2.3 on SMF 1.1.2.  If you need a list of my mods, I can supply that as well.

Thanks!

babjusi

It should be on the top right side. Are you using the default theme tpruessner or a custom one?

tpruessner

Default theme that I change the css style sheet for.

I have checked and checked and it wasn't anywhere there.  I found the www.smfads.com website in this thread and did find my problem.  In my managepermissions.php file, I was missing this bit of code:

'ad_manage' => array(
            'ad_manageperm' => false,
         ),

It needs to be right before this bit of code:

'pm' => array(

Could you please take a look at the problem that I posted earlier - when you get a chance:

"Everytime I post an ad, it shows up twice both in the "Edit Ad section" and on my website http://www.mitraz.com/forum/index.php [nofollow]. I found several posts on this same issue but could not locate an answer. It enters the same ad twice side by side on it's own and when I remove any one of them both of them are removed at the same time. I tried different ways. I am using default theme and not clicking twice. Same Ads are showing up twice. Please help. Thanks."

oh thank you so much for that !!!

ham1299

I apologize if this has already been addressed - 81 pages is a LOT to look through! Is there an easy way to modify all of my themes? I actually only use two - the SMF default as well as one based on that, but not all of my ads are showing in the custom theme. Do I just need to add some script to my custom theme, or are there files I need to upload?

I've installed 2.0.3 ok in SMF 1.1.3 but there are no added options under the config section

Same here, is it compatible?

ham1299

I have another dumb question (in addition to my one above about custom themes). I am trying to get these ads centered on the page, and so far cannot get them to do so! ??? What do I do to get them to center?
Heather

Bigguy

Use center tags:

<center>adcode</center>

or

<div align=center>ad code</div>
