Which absolutely makes no sense from a publisher/visitor point of view.

No, it doesn't, but as with everything they do, Google doesn't give a crap what the site owner wants, they just want to push their ads (and trackers) wherever they want anyway they can.

Hello, I have tried to install this mod on SMF 2.1 and all files have "Test successful".

...but I opened all arrows and I have found some files having errors! (see the attached image)

Why these errors were hidden? ...and how to install mod without errors?

The board index one is there to handle two different types of edits if one fails it tries the other one.
The index.template.php errors is for the welcome area which I belive no longer exsits in 2.1

So I can proceed to install it, right?

Quick question: I have this an mod and another ads manager mod installed. (SMF 2.0.17)

I need to control the priority of which ad is displayed below the menu. For instance, both mods has an option to display below menu but what decides the priority of 1st and 2nd as far as loading each ad mod's data?

Usually, this would be easier with editing the template, but the hooks and options for placement seem to make it trickier.

Nothing does for priority.

Why would you need two ad managers?

One does what the other can't and vice versa.

Certain features and controls the board owner has preferences about.

As a side note... your mod is usually my first go to mod for clients, but some still like other things in the mix - it is just easier for them.

I just tried installing this mod on my SMF forum running v2.0.17, with the Reseller theme.

Upon installation, I received a couple of errors, which I've attached. I proceeded with installation anyway, as I was installing on my test site. After install, I inserted the Google Adsense code I had, and was testing out the different ad placement settings [left tower, right tower, within boards, etc...], none of the ads were appearing.

Is there a way to get this mod to work with the Reseller theme?

Yes but involves manual edits you have to compare edits made to the default theme and find similar sections of code in the reseller theme.

OK, is there any hope a noobie could get this done such as myself, or should I look for another option altogether?

How many file modifications would I be looking at?

Two failures for boardindex and display if you need those ad locations.

Okay, would I just go into the php files and manually change the code myself?

For example, the failure for BoardIndex shows as following;

Code: [Select]
Code: (Find) [Select]

<tbody class="divider">
<tr>
<td colspan="4"></td>
</tr>
</tbody>';
echo '<tbody><tr><td colspan="4">';
//Display ads Between cats
if (function_exists("show_category"))
{
$ads = show_category($category['id']);
if(!empty($ads))
if($ads['type']==0)
echo $ads['content'];
else
eval($ads['content']);
unset($ads);
}
echo ' </td></tr></tbody>';

Code: (Replace) [Select]

<tbody class="divider">
            <tr>
               <td colspan="4"></td>
            </tr>
         </tbody>';

If that's the case, the failed code for the Display is showing as blank? [attached]

I would suggest uploading the mod to https://www.smfhacks.com/smf-package-parser.html and follow the edits there.

I just ran the parser and manually modifed all the files that showed errors.

The homepage of the site now shows a syntax error.
