HI Electrohome,
Thanks for creating such a great mod. As you mentioned earlier that this mod works only with Defualt Theme, and it needs to be customized for other themes. I am using Pn-Pn theme which seems to be popular lately and quite a few people might be using it.

Somehow your MOD gets installed with no problem but doesn't gives any options to place Ads. If you can please guide me and other on how to modify this to make it working.

Thanks

i would suggest uninstall the mod, then going through the files that the ad mod has edited and verify that theres no code left in those files assisoated with my mod then re-install my mod

You could always do what I did ...

On a practice forum, overwrite the existing default theme files (located inside the default theme folder) with only those files that come with your custom theme (in your custom theme folder). Then, install whatever mod(s) that you want. Now, put your customized and newly modded files back into their original folder. MAKE BACKUPS and DO NOT PRACTICE ON A LIVE FORUM.

i'm not sure if this has been asked before, but can the ad codes be modified for each of the position in the forum? right now, it seems all the ads in the forum will only use one ad code. google adsense forbids the use of the same ad format within the same page so i'm afraid having only one ad code for all the ad positions is not good. also that's a concern if i want a different ad code for each of the positions, say, i want a banner at the bottom of the menu but i want a leaderboard after the first post.

I'm not very familiar with the forum yet. I just added the add management. But how do I get any pictures in? Does this work with special code or something? I only can write text.

Not yet, but i think electrohome said you'll be able to do that soon.

you can use like <img src="myimage.gif" /> for the ad code

Ive installed this mod, uninstalled and reinstalled. Everything installs fine, and the ads show up, the only problem is that the ads show up even for the VIP membergroup which I have unchecked the "show ads" in permissions.

I'd like to have the forum ad free for the VIP membergroup, but my permissions for "show ads" is being ignored.

Any idea what to do to fix this?

garfunkle

I've just installed this mod and it works great on default theme...Can't wait for it to work on other themes too.

Bigguy

You`ll have to modify the themes manually that you want it to work on. Most mods are only made for the default theme.

garfunkle

Oh right, has there already been a post on this, or does someone know how?
