Users Online split into Members Online & Staff Online (RC2 PHP Help)

After doing a search I didn't really find much on this. Except Unknown mentioned somewhere that splitting users online up should only require some simple PHP modifications.

To put into perspective, on the board index the users online lists every member currently online (bar invisible ones) with the respective member group colours.

I was trying to edit the PHP so that you could list members and staff separately - I didn't manage this, so I thought I would try here!

Basically I thought it would be nice to have all the Staff currently listed online in one box, and members listed in the normal users online box. Also, if the amount of members online could be counted as normal, but with an individual count for each staff group.

I'm not sure if that last bit could be done as easily.

Does anyone know how to do this? Sounded simple at first didn't it, but I bet it isn't now.
